baby_district_nurseThe surgery operates an appointment system for seeing the doctor, nurse and other health care professionals. Having an appointment system eliminates the long waiting times associated with open access and allows the practice to control the quality of their consultation time. Urgent cases are seen on the same day.

If your condition is non-urgent, you can expect to see a doctor within two working days. You can usually expect to see a nurse within one working day.

If you require longer than a ten minute appointment, please let the receptionist know and she will adjust the timing accordingly. We have recently introduced a “late night opening”, operating one night per week.

Once per week, on a Tuesday we can offer evening appointments between the hours of 18.30 and 19:40. These appointments are primarily aimed at patients who may find it difficult to attend during the daytime including patients who are at work or parents who work and wish to attend with their children in the evening.

You can help us by:

  • Being on time for your appointment
  • Informing us about cancelling your appointment (with as much notice as possible)
